Education is the basis for building the intellectual capital of companies. .
The education system needs to be constantly changing, adapting to the new needs of young people to be able to face the challenges of the 21st century, the century of digital revolution that in times of global pandemic has accelerated the processes of personal and professional reprogramming. It changed the paradigm and purpose of education where the focus should be on motivation, curiosity and awareness that every child is a potential that the education system must recognize, support and develop.
Numerous studies have shown that today we in schools prepare young people for professions that by the end of their education will no longer exist and many new ones will be created. Thus, unprepared when they need to be employed, build careers and personal life, they will face personal disappointments that will cause psychological consequences with which the community and society will suffer the greatest damage due to loss of quality labor, man and useful citizen.
Unfortunately, so far, due to outdated national programs, curriculum contents, traditional approaches and tools in the way of teaching are causing boredom, disinterest and lack of motivation to achieve high results. Young people, even after completing primary or secondary education, are not clear about what they are the best as individuals and what they lack in order to be even better. This is because no one or hardly any of the teaching staff is able to evaluate them objectively and argumentatively substantiated, explained and indicated in which direction a young person should focus.
Because of this, when one of these young people after graduating from high school would like to be employed in an institution, organization, administration or private sector, people in HR face an intellectual and professional challenge to find out what these young people want, know and can, as well as work on developing skills, values, acquiring knowledge and attitudes that are nurtured in the organization.
To facilitate this process, cooperation and partnerships with economic entities and the education system are needed to know why it is learned, how and where that knowledge can be implemented in practical life. The opportunity to learn to implement is a great indicator of how to improve the performance of everyone involved in the education and work process. Harmonized programs, common goals and defined values and skills that each student has individually acquired through their educational process.
Education should enable young people to acquire functional knowledge that is applicable and to stimulate their desire for lifelong learning that is easily accessible on social media where non-formal education offers countless opportunities, information, guidance, methodologies and techniques, experiences, how to improve skills, how to acquire values and how to be better and happier for oneself but also for the environment in which one works and lives.
Why are young people leaving the country? All young people who want to learn, to progress and to give their best, and for that to be properly valued, respected and financially rewarded, look for it first in their own homeland. When they can not fulfill their own dreams, they look for a way out, happiness and success. How can HR people keep young people from leaving?
Every employee, especially young, promising staff expects to be personally acquainted with the opportunities, conditions and manner of work and engagement in the organization. They need to know what it takes to climb one ladder in their professional and personal development. They demand rules, clear values, justice, equality and a sense of self-worth. Human resources should recognize the possible positive qualities that will be valorized and shared, but also to detect shortcomings and weaknesses in the processes and to develop them. They need to work on developing emotional skills programs for young people in order to change the mindset that is key to success in any field. When young people understand that wherever they choose to realize themselves professionally, they first need a passion for the job they have chosen to succeed, that they should always be proud of the organization in which they have chosen to work, that it is most important to be in the workplace. 3 hours, but, effective and successful, than to sit for 8 hours watching the clock tick long and boring.
The pandemic has shown us that if we want we can learn new things anywhere, but not from anyone but from the most successful, the most experienced and the most professional. The pandemic has taught us that this time of digitalization is the new fourth digital revolution in which we all need new knowledge, skills, skills and values to be able to decode the world. That everything depends on us and that knowledge should be shared is the most important lesson we have learned from the pandemic online life, work, friendship, fun and learning.
If we are blind and deaf to all these dizzyingly rapid changes, we will remain people who have failed to transform into the new world. We will move forward or remain unaware of our human dimension and role in this 21st century. And that is to learn everything we do not know, to recognize every day how much better we are than yesterday or we will remain in the darkness of ignorance. The education system needs reforms, not just national documents, programs, contents – we need reform and redesign of the priorities, goals and needs of young people. To teach them to love themselves first, to trust themselves in everything, to respect, especially to respect every other’s opinion, to be the best they can be. And there are ways, tools and techniques.
